In Recpetion class we planted potatoes with Mr Bentham. Today Mr Bentham collected the potatoes, baked them in the oven and came into class to share them with us. They were delicious.
Thank you Mr Bentham, we feel very lucky.
Today we looked at Victorian Times and spoke about how different life would have been for children in those days. We played games that children would have played such as hoop and stick, hop-scotch, skipping and skittles. We had lots of fun playing with Victorian-style toys/games.
Today Miss Wiswell’s class have been using the Base 10 resource to partition numbers to 40. We have been looking at the numbers that make up bigger numbers. We have worked hard.
Take a look at the hard work we have been doing.
We have been seperating materials and objects in our Science lessons. We have looked at different objects and found that many have more than one material. For example our school scissors are made from plastic and metal.
Have a look at us exploring different objects and the materials they are made from.
In Miss Wiswell’s class we have been looking at number bonds to 10. We have sang songs, found patterns, used the Numicon pieces and we used the play dough to find pairs.
Take a look at the fun we have had.
In our Computing lessons we have been learning how to use a computer. We have followed instructions to turn the computer on, log on to our Y1 area, click on Microsoft Word, type our name into a Word document, save our work and exit. The children have worked very hard.
Have a look at us in action.
